Cognuro is a neurotechnology development company. We design equipment that records objective data on eye movements, balance, timing, and coordination. Our goal is to give clinicians and researchers efficient, data-driven tools for capturing those measurements.

Meet Dr. John D. Hatch DC, DACNB, FABBIR

Dr. Hatch is the owner of The Brain Rehab Clinic, a functional neurology center in Provo, UT, and the founder of Cognuro. With extensive training and years of hands-on clinical experience, he is known for his thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care. In addition to treating patients, he trains and mentors practitioners, helping advance clinical standards in functional neurology.

Cognuro was created out of clinical necessity. As his practice grew, Dr. Hatch recognized that existing tools could not keep pace with the demands of modern neurological care or provide the level of precision he expected. He set out to develop equipment designed by a clinician, for clinicians — built to support more efficient and objective neurological assessment.

Cognuro Look is a headset, currently in development, that records and measures eye movements. It's designed to capture a set of standard eye-movement tasks so clinicians and researchers have objective, repeatable data to work with. Cognuro Look records data from the following eye-movement tasks:

–>Spontaneous Nystagmus - Vision Denied

–>Gaze Horizontal and Vertical

–>Pursuits Horizontal and Vertical (Slow, Medium, and Fast)

–>Saccades Horizontal and Vertical

–>Optokinetics Horizontal and Vertical

–>Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex (VOR)

Cognuro Stand is a balance-measurement platform, currently in development. It records data on how a person's body sways and stays stable while standing under different conditions. Posturography — measuring body sway during standing — is a long-established method used in balance research. Cognuro Stand performs the following assessments:
–>Stable Surface, Head Neutral, Eyes: Open and Closed

–>Unstable Surface, Head Neutral, Eyes: Open and Eyes Closed

–>Unstable Surface, Eyes Closed, Head: Right, Left, Down and Up

A full Cognuro Stand assessment takes less than 5 minutes.
